Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy specifies the conditions under which Birla Dharamshala Ayodhya (“Dharamshala”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles booking cancellations, changes, and refunds. By placing a booking through our website, phone, WhatsApp, or email, you agree to abide by the policy set out here.

1. Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required payment or upon official confirmation from Birla Dharamshala Ayodhya. All bookings are subject to availability. The details of the booking, which include the relevant cancellation and refund terms, are communicated at the time of ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌confirmation.

2. Cancellation by Guest

A guest can cancel by contacting us by phone, email, or WhatsApp.

Only a cancellation request confirmed by Birla Dharamshala Ayodhya is considered valid.

The amount of any refund, if there is one, is determined by when the cancellation is made and the booking plan chosen.

3. Refund Policy

At the time of booking, it is always made clear whether a booking is fully refundable, partially refundable, or non-refundable.

Whether one is entitled to a refund and the amount thereof is a direct consequence of the proximity of the cancellation date to the check-in date.

If any, authorised refunds will be issued after any applicable charges are deducted.

4. No-Show Policy

A No-Show is a situation in which a guest does not show up for check-in on the scheduled date and has not cancelled beforehand.

If a no-show occurs, the guest will forfeit the entire booking amount unless the booking terms state otherwise.

5. Early Check-Out

It doesn't matter whether the guest has notified earlier or not; no refund will be issued for unused nights in the event of an early departure.

6. Cancellation by Management

Under extreme conditions, Birla Dharamshala Ayodhya may cancel or change a booking at its discretion. Such cases, but are not limited to:

When the predicament appears to be dangerous or unsafe
Force majeure or natural calamities
Government restrictions
Technical or operational issues

The guests will be notified as soon as possible in these situations, and refunds (if any) will be issued accordingly.

7. Refund Processing

Refunds that have been approved will be returned through the original payment channel as far as is possible.

The time for a refund depends on the bank or payment gateway provider, and it may take several working days to appear in your account.

Birla Dharamshala Ayodhya can in no way be held accountable for delays by third-party payment providers.

8. Non-Refundable Charges

There might be non-refundable charges, such as payment gateway fees, service charges, or the correct amount of tax.

Information regarding such charges, if any, will be given to you at the time of booking.

9. Amendments to Bookings

Changing the date or making any other alteration to the booking is subject to the availability of the place.

Sometimes a change can be considered as a cancellation and rebooking.

It is the guest who has to pay the difference in the rate resulting from the changes.

10. Policy Updates

Birla Dharamshala Ayodhya has the right to change or amend its Cancellation & Refund Policy as it sees fit. The current version will be available on our website at any given ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌time.
